"With Pop, Indie, Blues, Rock and Funk elements entwined into their songs, it seems near impossible to fit The Light Brights into just one genre.
Since the end of November, the band has been in the studio at least 4 days a week, 5-8 hours a day, writing and recording their upcoming, full-length album. Appropriately titled The World's A Changin', the new album is heavily blues-influenced, with hints of indie-inspired-rock-and-roll, and lyrics about the frustrations and wonders of both love and the Earth. Electric guitar, funky bass riffs, wicked drum solos, and their fantastic stage presence illustrate how much they have grown as a band, matured musically, and how much their world really has changed since the release of their self-titled EP (Sept '09).
Look out for their music video to their first single, Distract Myself, this spring!
