Ok, so...we're starting this blog thing so that we can update y'allll on what we're doing!! It's funny, people just don't get it sometimes. This is our LIFE man, it's all we do. Well, it's all we want to do. We all have secret-side-jobs to pay the bills, but we're either writing out new material, recording, practicing, or having a 'band meeting' at least 4 days a week, most of them being 5-8 hour days. I'm not complaining in the least (we all love it!!), I'm just trying to explain to you...just because we don't get paid for working a 'normal' full-time job doesn't mean that we're not constantly working. Also, we are not ignoring you, friends - we love you! We just have a lot of stuff to do in a very short time!! For example.. Today (Sunday the 29th) we're meeting up with our wonderful friends and saxophonists Colin Boyd and Angela Kinder in order to work out horn lines, set up mics, and lay down some horn tracks. Then we're all going to go to The Seahorse to see some amazing local musicians play some rad music, with all donations going towards Haiti Relief (YEAH!!). We're going to try to behave tonight though, because we have long days of recording and rehearsal tomorrow and Tuesday...because... We have a show on Wednesday night with Buttfunknowhere and Chalkpit (AND MORE!) at Gus's Pub. Show time is 10:30pm, and again...all donations for Haiti Relief! We are so happy to be a part of this - those bands fucking rock man. Thursssdddddddayyyy. Thursday, Thursday. Boy, I'm excited! I took the Theatre Program at Acadia in 2006-2007 and made some amazing friends and Thurssddayyyy I get to see them all again!! We'll be playing in Wolfville!! AHHH! I can't wait to play this show and see all those lovely faces again. It will definitely be a great night. YAHOO! How did we ever become so lucky?? We have great lives...musicmusicmusic -Bethany |
