Getting The Most Out Of Your Artist Profiles
Hi all,

Welcome to OMN! Be sure to have a good look at all that's available to you in your artist control panel. There's room for song lyrics, photos, events and much much more. The more you enter in your profile, the more attractive your artist profile looks!

Re: Getting The Most Out Of Your Artist Profiles
The problem with sites like this is that the only people that really use and login to sites like this are the artists themselves so really how much help can this be if there are sites out there like myspace where there are more than just artists and bands. My band is on like 10 different sites like this one and its all the same, just the artists and bands are the only ones there and i don't even think anybody from record companys even bother to look at these because there is soooo many bands these days they really couldn't be bothered with it all.

We totally appreciate the feedback. I can tell you that we've had some amazing response to the site so far, with many more fans than artists hitting the site every day. That being said, what do you think we can do as a community to bring more fans to you? What do you think isn't being done right?

Re: Getting The Most Out Of Your Artist Profiles
Nobody is doing anything wrong here at all.Its all good that there is a site like this for atlantic musicians. We are not trying to discourage you or anybody for trying to help.Just curious as to what kind of help, thats all since there are alot of other sites to post songs.Hopefully since its for Atlantic musicians only,so as an example to log in as an artist you must be from Atlantic Canada but listener logins can be worldwide so that way its a tighter community of musicians that can stick together. We also think that bands should stop playing at bars for pennys and a beer. Music acts bring people to bars and these people buy alot of beer, especially metalheads but the bands of all genres have to stick together and stop being taken advantage of by bar owners that are making a killing of our fans.BUT...everybody want to play.Bands are poor so we must stick together and not be taken advantage of like the trend the bar owners have taken up over the years.Maybe this site can help Atlantic musicians get there fair share.Sites like this are definatly good for spredding the word and being heard at the same time so let keep it Atlantic.
Looking forward to being a part of this site!

Hopefully the bands that win a video shoot aren't any of the few i have seen on the charts that i know are pretty popular already.Lets give the little guys a chance here too,its cool to see more different genres get a chance for once.I love this site, makes me feel at home with these fimilliar singers and bands on it.And i can see if i like the music before i go to the shows/concerts.

Hi there,

There is a small blue "X" next to the title of your post. If you click that, it should remove it immediately. :)

Re: Metalkyla's comment, "Hopefully the bands that win a video shoot aren't any of the few i have seen on the charts..."

You should know some of the people on the charts (who are not directly affiliated with the OMN) worked really hard to get on top and if they're staying there perhaps being on the front page will help provide the break they need to be selected for a video. WHY, in God's name, would an unpopular song be selected? Creating a video for it won't improve the song...

There's a reason why songs rise to the top while others do not. Can you imagine what that reason might be? Metalkyla's , give your head(s) a shake, get to work and recruit some fans.

Re: Getting The Most Out Of Your Artist Profiles
I am not a musician, why would i need to recruit some fans here? All i meant was I seen a couple musicians on here that have bigtime videos so why would they need a smalltime video of live performence and no these ones weren't actually at the top of the charts either,I dont want to say names.Just want everyone to get a fair chance by what their music sounds like not by who they are or how famous they allready are.Give your head a skake for misunderstanding everything in my post.

Re: Getting The Most Out Of Your Artist Profiles
Metalkyla, I'm shaking my head alright. Thanks for clearing that up but I still don't agree. May the BEST SONG win and most deserving artist win regardless of how far in debt contenders had to go in order to produce their videos, music, etc..

Have you noticed there's been nothing posted (that I have seen) about said video since the contest closed? I wonder...

I think the more sites you can be on the better. So this is a super site and I'm stoked to be part of it :)
